The Skatefest event begins with preliminary tryouts for the Skate Competition on June 18 at Wakefield Skate Park.

Prelims begin at 4pm on June 18, 2010

SATURDAY JUNE 19 | MAIN EVENT DAY:

Skate For A Cause | Register at 1pm | Ride Begins at 2pm

Skateboard to raise money for Children’s Hospital. Download here or pick-up (Fairfax Surf Shop) a Sponsor Form, and have friends, family and companies donate money for the cause.

Ride begins at 2 PM at Wakefield Skate Park and is OPEN TO ALL AGES

Skate Competition | Register at 2pm | Competition Begins at 3pm

The competition begins with preliminary tryouts on June 18 at Wakefield Skate Park. There are four age brackets (11&U, 14& U, and 18& U and 19+) and four event categories (Quarter Pipe Jam, Best Trick, Park/Street Course, and FSS Skate Team Tryout). On the Main Festival Day, June 19, finals for the skate competition will begin at 3 PM and be held throughout the day

SKATE COMPETITION DETAILS:

First Day of Skate Competition: Preliminaries June 18, 2010

• Begins on June 18, 4-7 PM at Wakefield Skate Park

• Check-in is at 4-5 PM, Have your $15 Registration fee

• All Participants MUST be present for Preliminaries to participate

Final Day of Skate Competition: Finals June 19, 2010

• Begins June 19, at 3 PM - 7 PM at Wakefield Skate Park

• Final Competition Rounds will be held through out the day

The Skate Competition is open to 4 Age-Group Brackets:

11 and Under

14 and Under

18 and Under

19 and over

And Four Event Categories:

Half Pipe Jam

Best Trick

Park/Street Course

FSS Skate Team Tryout

Participants may only enter in one age-group bracket, and one,or more (or ALL!) competition categories. On the Main Festival Day, June 19, 2010 finals for the skate competition will begin at 3 PM and be held throughout the day.

REGISTRATION DETAILS:

• First make sure you register online here or at Fairfax Surf Shop

• All Participants must pay a $15 flat registration fee, includes a FREE EVENT T-SHIRT

• Fee may be paid prior to competition days at the Fairfax Surf Shop or on June 20

PRIZES:

Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in every age bracket for each competition category, totaling over $5000 in giveaways!

Top Prize:

4-6 Skaters will be chosen to join the

Fairfax Surf Shop Team w/ full FSS Sponsorship!
